Data We Collect

When you submit the contact form on this website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The subject of your enquiry
  • The message content you provide

We do not collect analytics data, set tracking cookies, or use third-party advertising services on this website.

How We Use Your Data

Information submitted via the contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to conduct discussions about a potential project engagement. We do not use your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

Contact form submissions are transmitted via a secure webhook. The data is not stored in a database on our servers beyond what is necessary to facilitate a response.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process contact form data on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — specifically, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries — and, where you initiate a project discussion, on the basis of pre-contractual steps (Article 6(1)(b)).

Data Retention

Personal data collected via the contact form is retained only for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry. If no project engagement follows, data is not retained beyond the period of active correspondence. Where a project engagement takes place, relevant correspondence may be retained for up to seven years for contractual and legal purposes.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data where there is no legitimate reason to retain it
  • Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@solacedevelopment.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data appropriately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk.
